The 13u Boys Division I Nationals begin on June 27, 2010, about 5 months away. However, the Atlanta Select 13u Boys Team BLACK has already qualified to participate. All they have to do is to play in the State Championship to be seed in the national tournament. But this 13u team is scheduled to play in several more Super Regionals prior to traveling to Memphis, TN in late June.
This past weekend the team, coached by Coaches G. Stewart, M. Gates and D. Gethers, traveled to Tampa Florida to participate in the Suncoast AAU Super Regional. They won the championship, defeating all the teams they faced from Florida. They represented the State of Georgia, the Greater Metropolitan Atlanta area, the many schools that the players attend, the young men of the Georgia AAU program and Atlanta Select extremely well.
We are proud of these young men and we wish them continued success this season. They have added another picture to the "Trophy Case". Go Atlanta Select!
