Nine Atlanta Select Teams played on Sunday last weekend and they all brought excitement and suspense. But one game stood out; the championship game of the Southside Shootout at Westlake High School. Two Altanta Select "Lady Select" teams were in the 16u finals, the Lady Select RED, coached by Tyrell McCrae and the Lady Select BLACK, coached by Joretta Kelly.
Both teams had destroyed all the other teams they met en route to the championship game, setting up a battle of the Titans! The game was a class act, displaying the talents of the young ladies of the Atlanta Select program. The RED team won, but not without a struggle. The "sister" teams competed hard but joined in the celebration together as sisters are suppose to do. The Atlanta Select is very proud of these young student athletes that played in the "Atlanta Select Game of the Week".
Pictured above is the before the game "Stare Down" between Coach McCrae and Coach Kelly followed by the Red team receiving the championship trophy and a $500.00 check. The two teams joined together to demonstrate their SYNERGY.
