Congratulations to the Mighty Seventh Grade SILVER West Team for earning the First Championship Trophy for the 2012-13 Season.
The team defeated the Middle Georgia Magic 7th grade team in the Georgia Tar Heel's Holiday tournament. The Magic had a big, tall and aggressive squad, however, the well trained Atlanta Select team walked away with the first placed trophy.
This is only the beginning of activity for this team during the holiday season. Next weekend they are in the NAYBA Christmas tournament and the Team Forest Christmas tournament. And then next week they are in the NAYBA After Christmas tournament, December 26-29.
By the way, our Mighty 8th grade SILVER team earned the second trophy for the season by finishing as "Runner-up" in their division at the Georgia Tar Heel's tournament.
The goal for Atlanta Select Basketball Association is for all of it's teams earned 100 trophies for the 2013 season, ending August 31, 2013. We have 98 more to go.
