Why Skills Development Training?

Many young boys and girls want to play organized basketball and find that they are not prepared to make a team. They lack the fundamental skills that coaches are looking for in a player. The Atlanta Select Skills Development Program is designed to teach basketball techniques to better prepare participants to make their school, recreation or summer league teams. Experienced coaches within the Atlanta Select and guest coaches from other organizations conduct training for those boys and girls (ages 8-18) looking to improve on their ability to play organized basketball. Atlanta Select Skills Development Training is held every Sunday at Coan Recreation Center. For more information click on "Skill Development" on the home page.
